
About Reem El Shafaki
Reem El Shafaki is a Partner at DinarStandard, where she leads high-impact strategic engagements across the tourism, marketing, and nonprofit sectors. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and more than 15 years in tourism strategy, she is known for delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects with excellence—from initial scoping and planning through to delivery and impact measurement.
Her clients have included Mastercard, UNHCR, the Office of the Prime Minister of Dubai, and COMCEC (the OIC’s Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation). Reem brings strong cross-functional expertise—spanning project management, sector strategy, stakeholder coordination, and research—ensuring alignment between vision and execution.
She is also a long-time contributor to global thought leadership in tourism, having authored the Travel & Tourism chapter in the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report (2013–2025) and spoken at events such as ITB Berlin.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Reem lives with her husband and two daughters. A lifelong traveler and nature enthusiast, she enjoys hiking, exploring new cities by foot, and reminiscing about her windsurfing days on Egypt’s Red Sea—a skill she first picked up in the murky waters of the Nile.
