Conor is passionate about driving socio-economic impact in OIC countries and facilitating south-south cooperation. Conor has over 25 years of experience in banking, finance, and international development working with big-4 accounting firms, global consultancy firms, AAA-rated regional development banks, and his own businesses. He holds executive and board positions for multiple companies in the profit and not-for-profit sectors and has worked and consulted in the areas of start-up advisory, business strategy, financial and risk management, policy development, corporate governance, corporate valuations, and audit.
Conor has consulted for governments, central banks, private sector companies, and the third sector in the fields of banking, mining, infrastructure development, food security, financial inclusion, international commodity trade, and tech solutions in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.
Conor has worked on millennium debt relief for African countries in coordination with Paris Club, IMF, and World Bank and developed quantitative models and policies for the structuring of multilateral institutions. He has specialized in assessing entire national financial ecosystems to drive greater financial inclusion for the unbankable.
Conor holds three university degrees with a master’s degree in physics from Oxford University and is a qualified chartered accountant from ICAEW, UK. Conor also holds professional qualifications in risk management, audit, and Islamic finance. He is an EdX Instructor for the online-training courses for finance courses. Conor was born and raised in Jersey, Channel Islands, and resides in Birmingham, U.K.
