Mohammad Kettani is a senior advisor and board member with DinarStandard.  He is based in Bahrain and is a seasoned Islamic finance and investments industry professional.

He has 17 years of investment transactions experience across various industries and asset classes including aviation, shipping, private equity, Islamic project finance and transaction advisory. 

Mohammed has also been the Head of Private Equity at Ibdar Bank where he developed the bank’s aviation platform and executed landmark transactions in the aviation sector, most notably the first Islamic financing transaction in African aviation with Ethiopian Airlines. 

Mohammed has previously worked as a Manager at Ernst & Young Bahrain’s Islamic Financial Services Group and as an Investment Officer with the private sector arm of the Islamic Development Bank. 

Mohammed holds a Master of Science in Finance from The George Washington University, USA.

Relevant Experience:

• Was senior advisor for a MENA-based sovereign wealth fund. Provided a quantification of the investment strategy and reviewed financial projections.

• Facilitated the Morocco launch of the State of the Global Islamic Economy 2020/21 Report, including securing panelists and moderating the discussion.
