Aaliya is a seasoned management consultant with 10 years of experience spanning strategy, market intelligence, and sector development across the Islamic economy.
Currently serving as a Consultant/Project Manager and Modest Fashion Sector Lead at DinarStandard, Aaliya brings deep expertise in supporting inter-governmental organizations, government entities, and private sector players across high-impact projects.
Aaliya has led market sizing and index development for the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report and was the lead author of the Indonesia Digital Islamic Economy report. She has played a key role in national Islamic economy strategies for countries like Indonesia and Nigeria, and has delivered projects for OIC entities such as ICDT, ICIEC, and IOFS. Her work also includes supporting innovation initiatives with Dubai Culture and the Sharjah Private Education Authority, with a focus on the food, modest fashion, and Islamic economy sectors. She brings cross-regional experience across South Africa, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.
Earlier in her career, Aaliya held consulting roles at PwC and Frost & Sullivan, where she supported clients such as Nedbank South Africa.
Aaliya is an avid traveler who enjoys documenting her journeys through photography and video, with a particular love for discovering local flavors and culinary traditions along the way.
