Innovating within constraints

Given a variety of socio-political constraints, how can a business, say an Egyptian textile manufacturer, innovate?

"Constraints infact drive innovation – they create the need – without the need there is less human resolve to change things."

"The Egyptian textile manufacturer can apply the same methods to innovate that any company would-- which is to adapt a process. I mean, just have a process. Its one of the big steps we ask of companies. We don’t believe innovation is an accident; its deliberate. You have to think about it and devote time to it..its hard work."
